Our aim is to provide both physical and psychological support, as well as promote self-confidence in safely managing diabetes on a day-to-day basis.
Teamwork is fundamental to this and the sharing of knowledge and ideas, to help best meet the needs of patients. Acting as a learning resource for other health care professionals is also crucial to our role and in promoting patient safety. Ultimately, empowerment, through patient education as well as self-belief and motivation, is the driving force behind all that the diabetes team seeks to achieve.
