People Plan

We’ve launched our QEH People Plan for 2022/23 which sets out how we will maximise our support for our staff in their roles and create a workforce that is fit for the future.

Our People Plan includes the Trust’s response to national, regional, and local people priorities in a single document.

Our six actions are:

Action 1 - Prioritising the health and wellbeing of all our people

  • To take a positive and proactive approach in supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone at Team QEH, ensuring that work has a positive impact on everyone
  • To address health inequalities at work and in our communities

Action 2 – Creating a great employee experience

  • To understand the diverse needs, expectations and experiences of Team QEH, and use this insight to tailor our people services
  • To attract and retain people in health and care, creating a positive impact on our communities

Action 3 – Ensuring inclusion and belonging for all

  • To use our expertise and influence to create an inclusive culture, which values and celebrates the diversity at Team QEH
  • To listen to our colleagues and take action to ensure there is equality for everyone

Action 4 – Supporting and developing the people profession

  • To support everyone working in the people profession to be their very best and reach their full potential

Action 5 – Harnessing the talents of all our people

  • To help everyone at Team QEH to fulfil their ambition and potential
  • To build strong leadership and management capability at all levels

Action 6 – Leading improvement, change and innovation

  • To deliver Quality Improvement and transformation which embeds innovation across the Trust and our systems
  • We look forward to the next chapter of our journey of improvement and working together as Team QEH so that we move closer to fulfilling our vision of becoming the best rural District General Hospital for patient and staff experience.
