Living in Norfolk

The cliffs at Old HunstantonNorfolk and its adjoining counties have something for everyone, rural beauty, scenic coastlines and unique market towns that are renowned nation, if not worldwide.

However it is not all about rolling landscapes, there are also a wealth of sports, entertainment, fine wine and dining and social activities to be enjoyed in your free time. And if you need to take a break from all of this from time to time or have friends and family visiting from afar then the transport links are surprisingly plentiful.

If space is what you seek it can be found at affordable prices and if you would rather be part of a community then the Norfolk community spirit is alive and well.Bircham Windmill

The area provides a superb environment for families, supported by excellent education facilities and a crime rate that is well below the national average and dropping all of the time.

King's Lynn

King's Lynn itself is a vibrant market town boasting an arts centre, corn exchange and many pubs, restaurants and clubs as well as green space.

The town annually hosts the Kings Lynn Festival, a two week schedule of concerts, theatre and music such as opera and classical; as well as the more contemporary Festival Too. Festival Too is a free open air festival which is headlined this year by Blue and also features Gareth gates, local bands such as Jimmy Rockit and tribute acts on Friday and Saturday evenings. During the day the festival provides entertainment for children and families with street theatre, puppet shows and food stalls.

Other events such as food festivals, museum exhibitions, the Great East Anglian Run and attractions such as the historic Royal Sandringham Estate, Houghton Hall and wildlife attractions mean that everyone can enjoy Kings Lynn, regardless of their age or interests.

Education and training is accessible through courses and qualifications offered by the College of West Anglia, as well as the Borough and County councils and many private organisations. Many of these courses, such as ESOL, are accessible free of charge.
