Month of the Military Child Competition
In preparation for Month of the Military Child in April we are launching a fun-filled Children’s Competition to celebrate this important occasion and get creative. This is aimed at children in our Armed Forces/ Veteran communities, young patients in the Trust, and children of Team QEH staff.
The theme for this competition is ‘Armed Forces Superheroes’. We would like children to use this theme and show us any special ideas or memories, in the form of a poem or picture. The competition is now open, and the winner will receive a prize, kindly donated by our local Armed Forces charity, The Bridge for Heroes.
The competition is open until Wednesday 25 March 2026.
Details of the competition
Competition Entry Requirements:
- Create a picture or poem, using the theme ‘Armed Forces Superheroes’
- Entry Age Categories: Age 6-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-18
- One winner from each age category will be selected.
- Please submit entries to the Patient Experience Department by email to patient.experience@qehkl.nhs.uk, or hand deliver to the Patient Experience office at QEHKL
- Remember to include the child’s first name and age with the entry, along with a parent or guardian’s contact number
- Deadline for entries is 12 noon on Wednesday 25 March 2026
- Winners will be announced and contacted on Tuesday 7 April 2026.
- Please note: Any contact information that you choose to share with us is for competition purposes only and will not be used for any other reason.
