We’re thrilled to announce the relaunch of our QEH Work Experience programme! The first application window opens Monday 27 October and closes Sunday 9 November.
Please note that places are limited, and applications will be shortlisted, so make sure that yours stands out! While we offer a wide range of placements, we’re unable to accommodate requests in Clinical Psychology, the Mortuary, Intensive/Critical Care, Gynaecology, and Accident and Emergency.

Over 16
Shadowing and work experience opportunities are available in a number of areas at QEH. However, due to the nature of work carried out in certain departments there are restrictions with age and some areas are unable to offer shadowing experiences. Please be aware when you are making a work experience request that we cannot guarantee to fulfil it.
However, if you would like to apply for work experience please complete the following application form, download the pre-placement health questionnaire and return to the stated address/email. Please ensure you complete your application in full including the specific department that you are interested in and dates you are available. Partially complete applications will not be considered.
Medical placements
If you are considering studying medicine at university and are currently studying A levels in Maths/Science, we may be able to arrange a placement to support your university application process.
