The energy and enthusiasm our volunteers bring to their roles is truly inspiring. It is heartwarming to see the care they show towards patients and staff.

It is an honour to support an incredible team of individuals, each bringing something unique to their roles. Every volunteer will tell you that their role is the best because, to them, it is.

I often get asked to quantify the activities our volunteers perform. I can count the number of passengers on our patient buggy, the steps taken by our pharmacy runners, and even the number of cups of tea made in a day, none of this truly represents their impact.

The joy that volunteers bring to our teams and the difference volunteering makes to the individuals are unquantifiable. This is why I do what I do.
