Anaesthetics and Theatres

We have one emergency, one obstetric and six elective main theatres, where we undertake ENT, general, colorectal, Orthopaedic/Trauma, Urology, Gynaecology/Obstetric and Emergency surgery.

Two of our theatres are fully integrated laparoscopic (keyhole) facilities with high tech equipment and teaching facilities. They offer huge benefits for patients and provide training for the next generation of surgeons. Patients who have laparoscopic surgery have a shorter recovery time and hospital stay due to the minimal invasive nature of the type of surgery.

Our surgeons complete an average of 100-120 elective operations a week.
