The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Dermatology Department is housed in a purpose-built unit and provides dermatology care to patients from a wide catchment area. We provide an outreach clinic to North West Cambridgeshire Hospital in Wisbech, the department has responsibility for teaching University of East Anglia medical students, Cambridge medical students and GP trainees.
Skin cancer forms an important part of the department’s work. Our skin cancer service is supported by visiting Consultant Plastic Surgeons from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital allowing complex reconstructive surgery to be performed within the department. Clinicians attend regular Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team Meetings with a weekly link to the Regional Skin Cancer Meeting in Norwich. There are also combined clinics with the Gynaecology department.
