Audio for relaxation
Many people find it hard to relax and our bodies hold a lot of physical tension. With practise you can learn skills in relaxation which will help to ease feelings of tension which you can use anytime you need.
Do
- consult your GP for advice before using audio for relaxation
- make sure the room is as quiet as possible
- lie or sit in a comfortable position
- practice the relaxation routine at least once a day
- try to get into the habit of practising around the same time each day
- bring your concentration back to the exercise if your mind wanders
Don't
- listen while driving or operating machinery
- continue if these exercises cause an increase in distress or worrying thoughts without consulting a health professional
