Audio for relaxation

Many people find it hard to relax and our bodies hold a lot of physical tension. With practise you can learn skills in relaxation which will help to ease feelings of tension which you can use anytime you need.

Do

  • consult your GP for advice before using audio for relaxation
  • make sure the room is as quiet as possible
  • lie or sit in a comfortable position
  • practice the relaxation routine at least once a day
  • try to get into the habit of practising around the same time each day
  • bring your concentration back to the exercise if your mind wanders

Don't

  • listen while driving or operating machinery
  • continue if these exercises cause an increase in distress or worrying thoughts without consulting a health professional
