at Home
We are delighted to confirm that our new hospital at home service has launched.
We are working in partnership with HomeLink Healthcare Ltd to deliver QEH at Home. This will benefit patients by supporting them to leave Hospital as soon as they are clinically stable, to continue their treatment and recovery but from the comfort of home. HomeLink Healthcare are specialists in providing this sort of sub-acute home healthcare and are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and provide this in partnership with multiple other hospitals including NNUH and the JPUH in our region.
Tracey Oats will be supporting clinicians to identify patients who are clinically appropriate for the service. At first, we will be focusing on people who need bridging support until their long term package of care is due to start. But, longer term we will also be extending the service to patients with more significant needs, like those needing ongoing IV antibiotics or daily dressings changes.
