Rehabilitation services - Musculoskeletal outpatients

The musculoskeletal outpatients service provides high-quality, evidence-based assessments and treatments to patients referred from sources including Accident and Emergency, Orthopaedic clinics, inpatient wards and GP services.

The team provides a patient-centered specialist service to manage conditions involving all the areas of the body.

Therapy provided can include personalised treatments such as, individual and class based exercise therapy, education and advice, manual therapy, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, taping techniques, acupuncture, and others as required.

The Musculoskeletal Outpatients service is an integrated service of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, aiming to maximise function, decrease pain and maintain health and wellbeing. Furthermore, under the guidance of the qualified therapists, Therapy Assistants perform a vital role by performing treatments, ongoing assessment, assistance in classes and the supply and maintenance of equipment.
