Augustines, St James, Fairstead, Dersingham, Grimston, Hunstanton, Wells, North

We provide our Ante-Natal Care at our surgeries, alongside giving our ladies the
opportunity of returning back for post natal appointments to keep continuity of
carer.
There is a programme for Pathway to Parenting that women can attend, these are
usually held in our Childrens Centre. Pathway to Parenting is a free, fun and
interactive four week programme, covering labour, delivery, baby care and the
role of the professionals you will meet along the way.
Women are offered Breast feeding workshops, these offer valuable insight as to
the benefits of breastfeeding and offers practical advice and support.
We offer Physiotherapy classes to teach exercises to help with pelvic floor and
postitions in labour.
We also offer hypnobirthing courses run by midwives, however, these come with a
cost to the woman.
We have recently started our Post Dates Clinics, so that women have the
opportunity of having reflexology and acupressure to hopefully reduce their
chances of induction.
After baby is born, we will visit families once at home and then will invite you to one of our postnatal clinics. These are held either at the hospital or at St Augustine’s healthy living centre or you may be able to see your antenatal midwife at your surgery.
