Courses for patients

Hope self-management course for cancer survivors

HOPE courses take place at Your Business Network Centre, 18 Tuesday Market Place, King's Lynn from 10am to 12.30pm on the dates provided below and each Tuesday for 6 weeks thereafter.

The programme aims to promote self management, find new ways to take control, manage stress and emotional issues, goal setting and problem solving. One of the most positive aspects of the course is that participants meet other people in a similar position who are experiencing the same issues and fears this is very powerful in helping each other move forward with their recovery.

Topics covered include:

  • Self-managing recovery and goal setting
  • Body image
  • Managing fatigue
  • Building confidence
  • Physical activity
  • Dealing with stress, worries and fears
  • Sleeping better
  • Healthy eating, diet and nutrition

94% of participants said that they would recommend HOPE to other people and they also said that HOPE helped them set achievable goals.
