Simon Illingworth
Chief Operating Officer
Simon joined the team in August 2023. An experienced director both operationally and strategically, he has a track record of generating innovative solutions and outcomes to complex problems.
He is passionate about the NHS alongside developing inclusive leadership, empowering staff to deliver safe and quality driven patient care.
He joined us after four years with The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust where he was Divisional Director before becoming Deputy COO. He had worked extensively across the Midlands in a variety of senior operational roles. Simon’s mission is to help the Trust reach its strategic goals, improve performance and by making sure patients get the best and most timely care from empowered, responsive teams.
As COO, Simon will be playing a central role in the transformation of clinical services across the Trust, including achievement of performance targets, by ensuring the efficient and effective management of all operational services on a day-to-day basis.
He is a full voting Executive Member of the Trust Board.
