The purpose of the system is to allow users to search for studies within the UKCRN Portfolio.

Clinical Research Network

As part of the National Institute for Health Research, we help to provide the infrastructure that allows high-quality clinical research to take place in the NHS, so that patients can benefit from new and better treatments, and we can learn how to improve NHS healthcare for the future. www.crn.nihr.ac.uk

Health Research Authority (HRA)

The HRA was established in December 2011 to protect and promote the interests of patients and the public in health research, and to streamline the regulation of research. http://www.hra.nhs.uk/

Integrated Research Application System (IRAS)

IRAS is the online system to apply for permission to conduct clinical research, and includes an online tutorial. www.myresearchproject.org.uk

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)

The MHRA is responsible for the regulation of medicines and medical devices and equipment used in healthcare, and the investigation of harmful incidents. The MHRA also looks after blood and blood products, working with UK blood services, healthcare providers, and other relevant organisations to improve blood quality and safety. www.mhra.gov.uk
