Rehabilitation services - Surgery and amputee rehabilitation

The team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants.

The service is provided from Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 4.45pm and as a team we review and treat all the major post–operative surgery patients with an aim to prevent complications of surgery, for example chest infection, reduced mobility and reduced independence.

As a team we work closely with Nurses, Surgeons, Podiatrists, Social Workers, Dieticians, Clinical Psychologists.

We also provide an out-patient amputee rehabilitation service on Mondays and Thursdays where we assess and treat patients as a result of either a single leg or both leg amputation with the aim to obtain maximum functional ability either as a prosthetic user or an independent wheelchair user.
