Outreach services at Littleport's St George's Medical Centre - General Surgery

The QEH General Surgery department has ten Consultant General Surgeons, specialising in various areas of expertise.

We have two Associate Specialists within the department and four Specialist Registrars (SpR’s) and six Staff Grades all of whom carry out clinics and operate under the guidance and management of the consultants.

We also offer Specialist Nurse support for Colorectal, Upper GI and Breast surgery.

• Removal of cysts, 'lumps and bumps' and skin lesions
• Haemorrhoidectomy, excision of pilondial sinus under local anaesthetic
• Vasectomies (HB only)
• Treatment for ingrowing toenails
• Treatment of haemorrhoids
• Skin biopsy
• Sigmoidoscopy
• Proctoscopy
• General biopsies
