Registered charity number. 207408

The League of Friends of the King's Lynn Area Hospitals was registered as a charity in 1953. In that time the willing band of volunteers, who staff the hospital shop and carry out other fundraising activities, have raised millions of pounds which has been spent on essential equipment for the hospital.

The equipment provided by the League of Friends can be valuable in financial terms but also in life changing terms. During the last financial year the League paid for a staggering £179,233 worth of equipment, this included:

  • Dexa Ground work, £41,950
  • Dexa Scanner, £35,006.48
  • Water Coolers for 10 wards, £16,000

The League has also dedicated a sum of £500,000 towards the installation of a new Radiology Information System at the QEH, which will benefit all inpatients and outpatients.

We are extremely grateful for the continued support of the League and the hard work of all of their volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering for the League of Friends you can contact the Chairwoman or Secretary.
