The Fairness Award

Criteria:

This award will be presented to an individual who promotes fairness, equality, diversity and inclusion for patients and staff.

The winner will be an exemplar in treating people equally. They will embrace diversity, accepting others for who they are, valuing the views of others and promoting the positive aspects that diversity brings to the workforce and really demonstrate a commitment to creating an inclusive culture at QEH.

They will actively seek out feedback with regard to the services we provide, creating time and a safe space to listen to others. They speak up when they feel something is not right and work collaboratively to ensure patients receive the best possible care.

This person will have contributed to and enhanced patient and/or staff experience through their commitment to inclusion. They will have positively influenced the broader culture of the Trust by providing an outstanding example of positive behaviours and practices.

Nominations:

This award is open to all members of staff and will be open to nominations from members of Team QEH only.

Judging:

The shortlist will be chosen by a panel of 5, comprising members of the Divisional Leadership Teams, Corporate Leads, Governors and the Freedom to Speak Up Guardian.
