Ear, nose and throat - rhinology

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) department covers all aspects of nose and sinus disease including allergy, infection, inflammatory conditions, structural and cosmetic deformities and diagnostic assessment and work-up of tumours. Operations performed at The QEH include:

  • Endoscopic DCR for watery eyes (Epiphora) in adults and children
  • Minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)
  • Reduction of turbinates for blocked nose
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Septoplasty
  • Septorhinoplasty

Post operative emergencies

In the event of a problem in the post operative period, you should contact the ENT office on 01553 613724 or 01553 613686. Out of hours emergencies may require attendance at the A&E department which will refer you to the on-call ENT team if necessary.
