Rhinology (Disorders of the nose and sinuses)

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) department covers all aspects of nose and sinus disease including allergy, infection, inflammatory conditions, structural and cosmetic deformities and diagnostic assessment and work-up of tumours. Operations performed at QEH include:

  • Endoscopic DCR for watery eyes (Epiphora) in adults and children
  • Minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)
  • Reduction of turbinates for blocked nose
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Septoplasty
  • Septorhinoplasty

Post operative emergencies

In the event of a problem in the post operative period, you should contact the ENT office on 01553 613724 or 01553 613686. Out of hours emergencies may require attendance at the A&E department which will refer you to the on-call ENT team if necessary.
