CNS Support Line   

As part of the Macmillan Transformation Programme a new service is provided at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital called the CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialist) Support Line.

Members of non-clinical staff provide this service, and are available to triage and direct your phone calls, assist with non-clinical queries and concerns, or forward your call where appropriate, to the correct Clinical Nurse Specialist.

The Service is available to provide support to patients at any point from initial suspected cancer referral onwards. It is not just for patients undergoing treatment but also for any patient undergoing investigation for cancer, on treatment and after treatment.

The service operates Monday to Friday 9:00 - 16:45. Outside of these hours you will be directed to AOS (Acute Oncology Service), your GP, 111, or A&E.
